Especially in the stone construction environment, the bucket tooth wears very fast. The use of bucket teeth can also directly affect the work efficiency and production cost of the excavator.
01. Choose the right type of bucket teeth
In the process of using the bucket teeth, it depends on the working environment to determine the specific type of bucket teeth. Generally, flat bucket teeth are used for digging soil, weathered sand, and coal face. RC type bucket teeth are used for digging massive hard rock, and TL type bucket teeth are generally used for digging massive coal seams. TL bucket teeth can improve the coal block yield. In actual use, users often prefer general-purpose RC-type bucket teeth. It is recommended not to use RC-type bucket teeth unless it is a special case. It is better to use flat-head bucket teeth, because RC-type bucket teeth wear out after a period of time. It reduces the digging resistance and wastes power, while the flat bucket teeth always maintain a sharp surface during the wear process, which reduces the digging resistance and saves fuel.
02. Timely replacement of bucket teeth
When the tip part of the bucket teeth is seriously worn, the force required by the excavator to cut in during the excavation operation will inevitably increase greatly, resulting in greater fuel consumption and affecting work efficiency. Therefore, it is very necessary to replace the new bucket teeth in time when it is detected that the bucket teeth wear is relatively serious.
03. Replace the tooth holder in time
The wear of the tooth seat is also very important to the service life of the bucket teeth of the excavator. It is recommended to replace the tooth seat after the tooth seat is worn out by 10%-15%, because there is a gap between the tooth seat and the bucket teeth with excessive wear. The large clearance changes the fit and force point of the bucket teeth and the tooth seat, and the bucket teeth break due to the change of the force point.
04. Daily inspection and tightening
In the daily maintenance work of the excavator, take 2 minutes to check the bucket every day. The main inspection contents are: the degree of wear of the bucket body and whether there are cracks. If the degree of wear is serious, reinforcement should be considered. As for the bucket body with cracks, it should be welded and repaired in time to avoid increasing the length of the cracks due to delayed maintenance, resulting in unmaintainable conditions. In addition, kick the bucket teeth of the bucket with your feet to check whether the bucket teeth are stable. If the bucket teeth are loose, they should be tightened immediately.
05. Replace the position after wear
Practice has proved that during the use of excavator bucket teeth, the outermost teeth of the bucket wear out 30% faster than the innermost teeth.
06. Pay attention to your driving method
The driving method of the excavator driver is also critical to improving the utilization rate of the bucket teeth. The excavator driver tries not to retract the bucket when lifting the boom. The bucket teeth are subjected to an upward traction force, so that the bucket teeth are torn from the top, thereby tearing the bucket teeth. Special attention should be paid to the coordination of actions in this operation. Some excavator drivers tend to use too much force in the action of enlarging the arm and sending the forearm, quickly "knocking" the bucket on the rock or dropping the bucket on the rock with force, which will smash the bucket teeth, or It is easy to crack the bucket and damage the upper and lower arms.
